About Me
Caroline Copthorne, soprano, is a graduate of the Las Vegas Academy of the Arts in her home city of Las Vegas, Nevada. Most recently, she has performed the role of Lady Billows in Benjamin Britten's Albert Herring at Butler University. She previously been featured as Papagena in Mozart's The Magic Flute and in opera scenes as Marcellina (Le Nozze di Figaro), Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni), Dorine (Tartuffe), Mercedes (Carmen) and Meg March (Little Women). Ms. Copthorne has performed as a choral singer for several major works, including Verdi’s Requiem with the Butler Symphony Orchestra and Indianapolis Symphonic Choir, and performances with the Las Vegas Academy Philharmonic. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music in vocal performance at Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana under the instruction of Dr. Dana Zenobi. Aside from performing, Ms. Copthorne is a member of music fraternity Sigma Alpha Iota and is a strong advocate for inclusivity and mental health in the arts, which hopes to be able to promote those ideas throughout her career.
